ELOPEMENT ANNIVERSARY IDEAS: HOW TO CELEBRATE THE YEARS AFTER YOU ELOPE

An elopement anniversary deserves as much thought as the day itself. You chose a quiet, meaningful wedding, so it makes sense to mark each year in the same spirit, with time for just the two of you.

I'm Leon, an accredited celebrant and photographer based in Llandudno. My elopements are designed to carry on after the day, so here are the ideas I share with couples as their first anniversary comes round.

Go Back to Where You Married

Return to the lakeshore, beach or mountain path where you said your vows. Stand in the same spot and see how it feels a year on. Your first anniversary after eloping describes how that return can feel.

Watch Your Ceremony Again

Both of my packages include video and audio of your ceremony. Watch it together on your anniversary evening. Hearing your own voices say those promises again is more moving than most people expect.

Read Your Vows Aloud Again

Take the ceremony script out of its presentation box and read your vows to each other. Add a new line for the year you have just had.

Celebrate With a Sunset Ceremony

Every Ultimate Elopement includes a free sunset celebration with Twilight Ceremonies, redeemable any time and never expiring, and the Signature includes 15% off. It is summer only, and you do not need to wait for a big number. Your first or second year is reason enough.

Let the Registry Remind You

Your year in the Love Story Registry brings a handcrafted letter, photographs from your album and flowers on your anniversary.

Celebrate Anywhere

Mark it in North Wales, from South Stack to Llyn Tegid, or anywhere else: home, your garden, a special place elsewhere in the UK or abroad.

Eloping was the start, not the end. If you have not married yet, see the packages and book a call, knowing your first anniversary is already part of the plan.
