An elopement checklist keeps a small wedding simple. There are far fewer moving parts than a big day, but the few that matter really do matter, so it helps to see them in one place.
I'm Leon, an accredited celebrant and photographer based in Llandudno. Here is the checklist I walk couples through.
The Essentials
Legal paperwork: give notice and book a short register office ceremony. Is eloping legal in Wales? explains each step.
Your date: choose a season and a few possible dates.
Your package: Signature for a half day, which can be an evening slot, or Ultimate for a full day across multiple locations.
Your location: coast, lake, woodland or hills, chosen together.
Your ceremony: your story and vows, written from scratch with me.
Who comes: just the two of you, or your closest few. Kids and dogs are welcome.
Outfits and shoes: suited to the ground and the weather.
Travel and stay: private chauffeuring is included in both packages.
Timings to Know
Your balance, including travel, is due 30 days before your elopement. Your photographs arrive within 4 weeks and your film within 8 weeks. How far in advance to plan an elopement covers the bigger picture.
On the Day
Pack layers, a small bag for rings and vows, and something warm for afterwards. Your elopement day timeline shows how the day flows.
What You Do Not Need to Worry About
Planning, location scouting, your ceremony, photography and your keepsakes all sit with me, so the list stays short for you.
Packages
The Signature is £3,250 and the Ultimate is £4,950 on the packages page. Both include a year of The Love Story Collection, and the Ultimate adds a free Twilight Ceremonies Renewal of Vows, while the Signature gives 15% off Twilight. Proposal couples from Where Two Bloom receive 10% off.
Anywhere You Choose
North Wales is home, but you can choose anywhere: home, your garden, elsewhere in the UK or abroad.
With the list in hand, the rest can simply be about the two of you. Enquire about your elopement and we will tick it off together.
