How to simply elope.
This is my workflow to get you eloped as easy as possible and within your timeframe too.
The first part involves reaching out to me by enquiring using the form on my website. It will ask you for your name, email, intended elopement date and a space for you to write about your wedding ideas. After hitting submit, I will get back to you within 24-48 hours. You will also receive a notification. Once I have received your email, I will review your submission and will follow up by offering a discovery call.
Discovery Call
It’s time to get to know one another more, from the in’s and out’s of your elopement to sharing some interesting facts about myself too. We’ll discuss the elopement package you’ve chosen in detail and cover any questions you have about it. The photography side of things will also be touched on and will provide you with an insight into previous couples galleries so you can see how professional and bespoke they look. If you're happy with the discovery call and wish to proceed with the elopement process, then I will send you a contract, deposit information and an online questionnaire to complete before our next meeting.
Complete Online Questionaire
The questionnaire is a great way to get to know you and vice versa and on completion it provides a lovely grounding for both of us to work off. The questions you answer give me an insight into your story to draw questions and prompts for our online meeting. It is also a lovely way for you to cast your memories back to where your relationship started in the present day and to think about what you would like to include in a custom ceremony tailored for you.
First Meeting
This is where we will cover things from the ground up with the help from previous conversations with me. From getting to know each other informally to getting asked exciting questions: covering everything from potential locations to how you would like to customise your elopement in Wales. From experience, I really know how to keep the rhythm of your elopement in-waiting upbeat! I have thoroughly enjoyed every face-to-face meeting with the couples who have eloped with me. Being able to offer a service which is catered for their needs brings me fulfilment and allows couples to pierce the ceiling on what’s possible with a celebrant-led elopement.
Book accommodation if required. This just ensures you have a place to stay, and it doesn’t get booked up. Booking at the earliest convenience is suggested.
Get in contact with the local registry office: I will help you book your first meeting with a registrar to request a 2+2 ceremony. This will include yourselves and 2 witnesses. Unfortunately, celebrants cannot legally marry couples (yet), this part has to be done through a registrar.
Planning And Script Writing
This is where you will start to see your elopement take shape from the core onwards. At the heart of your adventure lies the ceremony and what takes place in it will stick with you throughout your journey as a couple. You will have the option at this stage to co-create your ceremony script, which will include a reading, commitments, ring exchange and vows – all of which can be fully customised so that you can imprint your own personal touch. It’s such a great way for couples to really connect with their own words at their ceremony, something which isn’t possible with a registrar. To be able to share your love and moving words in a way you like is such an incredible thing to do, and empowers couples to have control of their emotions to share with their loved ones. I also offer a ceremony script which is done for you and is kept secret till your ceremony. This is a great option for couples who would like an element of surprise thrown into their elopement. You’ll be caught off-guard by an emotionally impactful ceremony that will get you officiated in a unique way.
Review And Final Payments
We’ll go over the final materials of your ceremony script before I seal it for your elopement day. It’s time to pause and look over what you have achieved to this point in the elopement process. Believe it or not, you will have contributed a prolific amount of time and effort; through thinking, organising, using your own time and ticking off the to-do list. I want to make sure you’re at ease and will do my upmost to support you throughout your journey with me: we'll go through everything in a methodical way to make sure everything planned to date is good to go and that nothing has changed which may impact a desired outcome. If you have chosen to co-create a script with me, we’ll talk through it together and find ways to further personalise it – if that’s what you like, of course. You will either be completely happy with the process and how things have taken shape or would like a little help or some changes to your script. That’s okay. I want you to be super happy and content with your elopement and will do my best to ensure that to follow up with this, I am offering unlimited reviews till a month before your elopement. Micro changes are unlimited, but any significant changes will have to be reasonable within a doable timeframe.
It’s Time To Elope
A huge congratulations to you both. Well done! The time has come for you and your loved one to pack the suitcases and tie-the-knot in a location of your choosing. All the hard work you put in is about to show: you’ll be super relaxed on your elopement day knowing everything has been meticulously planned and there is nothing left to do except enjoy the moment as a pending Mr and Mrs. I’ll be with you till the end of the elopement, where I’ll give you a sneak peek at the photos before you drive off into your next chapter of life. I will be in touch on the same day and will send across a couple of fully edited photos from the day whilst making a start on your album; you’ll receive hundreds of photos. You’ll be kept in the loop about how your album is doing and be given early access to it, once it’s 50% full; T&Cs apply. This is a perfect kind gesture to ease the eagerness of receiving your pictures.
